Recidivism in the state of Florida is a silent and underexposed epidemic that is affecting men and women today. Why is this a silent problem and what is being done about it?  The entire Florida Department of 

Justice must consider the factors that influence this epidemic, and expose why certain age groups, racial/ethnic 

groups, and genders are more susceptible than others.  To begin, there should be a solid support system in place 

for convicted felons. This support system should offer suitable jobs, job referrals, safe places to live, and physical 

or mental health support for those that need it. The hindsight is, this American epidemic should not be fought as a

 one sided battle or be a major topic of concern for the convicted felon, but one that is fought with rehabilitation, 

equality and a second chance to become a part of society.  This is the mission of Day 4 Day Outreach Ministries!
